Before you use this portal, be sure sure you have completed your resume and application essay. You should save these documents as separate files that include your last name (“lastname_resume” and “lastname_essay” are ideal file names). Save your documents as .pdf, .rtf, .doc, or .docx
After you have completed the Cover Sheet at NEH.gov, you can use the form below to submit your resume and application essay directly to the seminar director.
Print and scan the completed Cover Sheet OR save the completed Cover Sheet to PDF and attach it to the submission form below. (On your web browser, click on the “Print…” option and select “PDF” on the “Print to…” options list). If you cannot print and scan or save your cover sheet to PDF, don’t worry: we can access it directly from the NEH website.
When your documents (Cover Sheet, Resume, and Essay) are ready, complete the contact information on the Document Submission form (below). At the bottom of the portal, be sure to attach all three documents (Cover Sheet, Essay, and Resume) before you submit the form. Applications that are missing any of the required documents won’t be considered.
Should you experience any difficulties with the Document Submission form, please email the documents (Cover Sheet, Essay, and Resume) to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If, for any reason, you wish to submit your materials as a hard copy rather than electronically, please email to request instructions and a mailing address.
All application materials must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM on 1 March 2019. The online submission portal will become inactive after 5 March 2019.
Successful applicants will be notified by phone or email on Friday, March 29, 2019. Those selected will have until Friday, April 5, 2019 to either accept or reject the award. Those not selected for the seminar will be notified by email.
